Drawing directly into a sketchbook with ink is a practice I began doing during meet-ups with the Urban Sketchers Prague group in May 2018.

 

The community was very supportive, helping me gain enough confidence to draw in public even on my own. Quickly it became obvious that coffee shops are my favourite subject - I enjoyed capturing all the details, even if meanwhile the coffee went cold.

A selection of my work was included in the group's book Prague Sketched (Pointa press, 2019).

Today, my sketchbooks are filled with both ink and watercolour drawings - while cafés remain my favourite subject, they also show pretty architecture and random sights like a potted plant or a vase with flowers.
